Set in Colombia’s Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta, The Bovine with the Curved Horns is a fantasy drama inspired by real events from the Colombian armed conflict. Blending magical realism with historical memory, the film follows a young boy whose encounter with a mythical creature transforms his understanding of loss, resilience, and the invisible wounds left by violence.
La Colemba collaborated on the creation of the film’s visual language through invisible visual effects, digital compositing, cleanup, and environment enhancements. Our work focused on seamlessly integrating visual effects into the narrative, supporting the film’s magical realism while preserving the authenticity and emotional depth of its natural landscapes.
